This cache is located off the Friendship trail near Stonewall Jackson Dam (hence the name). This is not a hard trail but it is up hill most the way. (Unless you take the wrong path then the terrain rating gets a lot harder.)It can also get kind of muddy.
The gate to the visitor’s center parking, closest to the trail head, is only open from 6 AM to 3:30 PM daily. However, you can park in the lot outside the gate and walk-in anytime. The parking coordinates are for the outside parking area.
Please use caution as this is a public hunting area. Please be sure to wear your orange especially during Turkey season.
The stream / valley is NOT the best approach!
Replaced cache is a small camo lock and lock. Previous one was lost among the derecho (storm) damage of 29 June 2012.
