Geocache Description:

Mulberry Canyon is locate in Western Taylor County and south of Merkel and Trent.  Native Indian used this area as well as the springs in this area.  On some of the ranches, pictographs can be found on some of the cliffs.  Buffalo roamed the area and several towns were located in the area, but have now disappeared.  Several churches and a cemetery still can be found as well as the Butman Methodist encampment that is used by many area people.

This is a micro cache with a log only. Bring your pen/pencil and paperclip to sign and retrieve the log. A very close cache and  grab. This cache is part of a series of caches on area cemeterys. I thought it would be neat to add due to the history. Enjoy!!  Please spend time and read the historical Marker. Enjoy driving the "lower south canyon" in the fall when the leaves are changing and exploring the area.. The history of Conelia Clark Fort is very interesting and tells of the women in our militery and what they did for our country.
