Another quick park 'n' grab, but this time an ammo box. Ammo can
compliments of Kodiak Dave.
Our first trip up this road in early June 2009 was a day we will
not soon forget. Besides the beautiful scenery and fun drive, we
saw a deer, two coyotes, and a mountain lion cub. We kept thinking
"What are the odds of that?!" If we had seen a bear too ... now
that would have been a one in a billion day. This cache is placed
very near where we saw the mountain lion cub. As we rounded the
bend heading down the hill, the cub was in the middle of the road.
We startled it and it was almost comical watching it gain its
footing, but once it did, it shot down into the draw by the oak
tree and up the hill. So the sighting of so much wildlife in one
day inspired us to come back and place caches as tribute.

December 27, 2009 by VCTrails (2182 found) This was our last cache for the day. The light was fading fast and it was getting cold. We passed by the last two because our GPSs pointed down the hill further than we wanted to go in the dusk. We thought we should quit on a positive note - TFTC!
