This series of caches is dedicated to those New Mexico State Police Officers who gave their final measure of devotion to the citizens of the state of New Mexico. Some lost their lives due to violence and others due to traffic and other accidents.
Officer Christopher Mirabel (age 34) was killed in a motorcycle accident on North Senic Ave. in Alamogordo at 6:55PM on June 13th, 2007. His State Police motorcycle struck a curb and then a tractor trailer that was parked on the roadway. Officer Mirabel had served with the State Police for nine years. He was survived by his wife, son and daughter.
