CITY TREASURE
Your assignment: Locate the cache, enter your code in the Journal of Secrets, log your find on-line, and help save and protect our City Treasures.
The journey begins in mid-town Memphis, but the exact location is revealed only by knowing the meaning of the clues as follows.
1) Locate these crop circles. They are in the City and are a Treasure.
I used Google Maps, but others may work. From the small "half-moon" tree in the parking lot project 289.5*. This projection should fall downtown right between the first two great leaders of our country.
2) Dial 901-333-6500 for advice on the next City Treasure location. Then, centered with the eyes of the twelve of white upon you, project 1.40 miles.
3) Locate Crosvenor of Elmwood. Another City Treasure for sure.
Sit down on the steps for a rest. Have at your back: "LIFE, DEATH – THEN LIFE AND LOVE ETERNAL". Goodbar to your left and Norton to your right. Now find a blank stone just to the right of Goodbar. Unusual, maybe? Go READ it. Now, back to the steps and have a seat right in the center of them. From where you are sitting you need to project past that blank stone for 1.43 miles.
4) Ramesses and St. Jude, both honorable City Treasures, are watching the same thing. edit...Ramesses is being moved to UofM. He was located at the pyramid so use the pyramid with St Jude for that reference line. On November 6th, (year unknown) you can see it clearly. The question is not what it is they are guarding, but where it is. Find it and from that location plot 120.5* for 2.19 miles.
5) These Treasure Planes did not arrive here by accident. More by Grace did they Land safely.
From directly in line with the small one and perpendiculiar with the nose of the larger one, fly for 2.54 minutes at 150 mph.
6) At one time, this Treasure Palace had more animals than the Zoo. However, a good veterinarian could not have helped them much.
Project from near the center round part: 287*.
7) Here are some more City Treasures:
Looks like Bass Pro is getting inside this treasure. Determine the center of it as best as you can, then plot for 2.43 miles.
At this general location "Spot Zero" you will find some numbers for assurance: 1391E1399, and 1388. Between these numbers discover the beginning of a City Transportation Treasure.
After you have completed the groundwork, plan on several hours of time and walking a couple miles in urban terrain. This can be done free of charge, but if you want to buy tickets, it will not be very expensive.
Follow this route: Cl - Pa - Du - Or - DaTo - 3rd - Co - Je - to CiCePl. Then quit, stop, terminate, disembark, or get off of it, and...
Continue your journey past more City Treasurers. Memphis received each of these gifts in May of the respective years. One has an extra plaque! Record the unique date as it holds secure the final City Treasure.
But, don't stop your progress, you must continue straight ahead beyond the wall. Continue around, over, or through the wall, but you must continue straight. Find the path beyond the wall and follow this path up and over the 'Front' then westward as far as it goes. Then descend as far as you can to another City Treasure and begin searching for a small brass marker with 1A on it. From 1A look South or roughly 195*. Near the seven tall structures are your final instructions as to how to protect these City Treasurers. Of course, the instructions are safely hidden from those wishing to do harm. The cache is a brown electrical box in plain sight. You must sign your name to the Journal of Secrets enclosed therein, but please use your coded name so you won't be in any danger should this master plan fall into the hands of Muggles. Now, take a moment to view the Treasured surroundings of Memphis. Discretely depart and log your success on-line, thus completing your assignment. And, please CITO.
