Geocache Description:

The fourth cache in the (appropriately) short ‘Clapgun is 40’ series – the only series of caches in the world planned around accessibility for a 40 year old off-road unicyclist, ever (probably). Most of the route is ride-able by unicyclists of moderate ability, with a single steep hill at the start (up which a small amount of walking may be called for and for which a brake is very useful on the return leg). The cache is small, with no room for swaps or TBs (so please bring your own pen).

NOTE: THE CACHE IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE FROM THE MONSAL TRAIL - DO NOT APPROACH UNDER THE BRIDGE (on foot or by car!).
NEW CONTAINER AND HIDING PLACE!
The ‘Clapgun is 40’ series of 6 caches has been created to celebrate Clapgun reaching the grand old age of 40. The series is not a multi-cache (in fact, some of the series are very much cache and dash-able, if you select appropriate parking options), but it would be nice if you complete the lot in the order that they were meant to be completed, just as we did (on unicycles, in the snow) on the day that they went live.

The route starts in Rowsley (with ‘Little Dangler’) and continues for 5 miles or so (but the route is not circular). There is a free car park in Rowsley (at N53° 11.359’, W1° 36.897’), as well several other parking locations in the village and I would recommend that you park in a designated car park rather than drive directly to Little Dangler.
As the whole series is on roads or bridleways, it could also be completed on foot or by mountain bike, but this is obviously a ridiculous idea when compared to the purity of the off road unicycle (and I apologise for even making such a suggestion).

The naming of this cache relates to Clapgun’s aversion to wasps (but has nothing to do with wasps!). The sighting of a single wasp once caused Clapgun to jump/fall out of his loft hatch, then almost continue to fall on down the staircase of his house (and don’t even mention the improvised protective equipment he donned to deal with the wasp nest he found in the loft).
This cache is a quite small and hidden in plain sight.
