How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Located in Burlington's largest Cementery. If your in the mood for a nice walk this 4-stage cache is walkable but you may also drive to each stage.

This cache is a multi-cache located in Burlington’s largest Cemetery. Permission was granted to place this cache with the following requests. Please be respectful to the property and if there is a funeral nearby please keep your distance. Please follow park rules and the hours of which it is open (7-5 daily).

This cache takes you to areas near monuments or graves of the namesakes (or close relative) for which some of our elementary schools were named for. This cemetery has a lot of history within it and it is a great place for a long stroll. If you have children that go to any of these schools it would be a great history lesson to show them where their school namesake came from.

The first 3 stages will have the coordinates only in micro size containers. The final stage will be a small container with a school spirit bag for FTF.

Driving is recommended between each cache if your not able to walk far. Maps of the cemetery are available at the office at the Sunnyside Ave. entrance of the cemetery. These maps also give you some of the history behind the people for which made this cache possible.

Happy Caching
