Geocache Description:

An easy puzzle which can be solved from your armchair with the help of a computer. A modern GPSr should be able to handle the projections.

Vincenty is an ultramarathoner in training for the Rocky Racoon 100 Mile Endurance Run, to be held in Huntsville State Park on February 7th, 2004. As you know, that is the exact site of the Texas Challenge 2004, which will be held five weeks later. Perhaps Vincenty should have saved his efforts for the later, more serious event. As it was, misfortune struck poor Vincenty during a training run. He parked at the above coordinates, started north, and ran straight for 100 miles. He then turned due east and ran for another 100 miles. Next, he headed off south for 100 more miles. Finally, he turned west for his last 100 miles. Much to Vincenty’s dismay, he did not arrive back at his car. In his fatigue-induced delirium, he had forgotten that he was not running on a plane, but on a curved Earth. Your task is to find Vincenty, assuming that each of the legs of his run was actually a great circle route on the WGS84 spheroid. He will reward you with treasures including an FTF Hero’s Medal.
