SCT: Uneven Surface Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

FindingNaMo_: The natural hiding spot has rotted away, and the rest of the area is overgrown. I couldn't find it today. I'll come back in the winter to see if it's still there, but consider this one gone.

Geocache Description:

A small camo'ed lock-and-lock.  Starts with a golf pencil, but always BYOP just in case.

The South County Trailway is a paved bicycle and pedestrian trail that extends from the Bronx line at Van Cortlandt Park to Elmsford (where it continues as the North County Trailway).  Both trailways sit on the right-of-way of the long-abandoned Putnam Division of the New York Central Railroad, known affectionately as "The Old Put."

You can reach this spot either from the parking area below or through Tibbetts Brook Park.  This is one of several paved and unpaved connections between the SCT and the paths in Tibbetts.

If you enter from the waypoint, note that parking north of Alan B. Shephard Place is by permit only from April 1 to October 31, so please pay attention to the signs.
Congrats to matthewcat on the FTF!
