How Geocaching Works
The Alma Cemetery is located on the south side of Alma, on the hillside, overlooking the Mississippi River. There are many interesting and old stones here. I would have to guess that when these folks were buried here, their families would have expected a nice view of the river for eternity. Some still have a view of the river. Others have a great view of the coal powered electricity generating facility.
This is a quick multi, with a stop at the Ganz stone memorial. Pretty easy to spot the Ganz stone at the given coordinates, as it is one of the larger tree carving stones in the cemetery. There are several others, but the Ganz stone is a bit larger than the others.
At the Ganz stones, and it's associated smaller "stumps" you will collect some information to help you find the final cache, which is a largish Lock N Lock.
The final cache is located at:
44.18.ABC
91.54.DEF
A = The total number of short "stumps" seen in the row with the Ganz stone.
B = 6.
C = The total number of short and tall "stumps" seen in the row with the Ganz stone.
D = The number of times the rope is wrapped around the anchor.
E = The total number of ivy leaves on the Ganz stone, minus one, then divided by 5. (Ivy leaves - 1) / 5)
F = The day of death of the individual who lived the longest, according to the "stump" markers.
