The RedNeck RoadRace Finish Line done finished! The winners was ever'one. heh. Ever'one who competeted and ever'one who attended. But final standin's was:

The RedNeck RoadRace started in June with all 12 travel bugs beginning their adventures in their home caches in beautiful Shafter, California. Each bug is tryin' to git as many miles as it can!

Okay, here's the rules. Do we have to have rules? Sure, why not. It's rules that keep us from degenerating into the Hatfields and McCoys!

• For every mile your Racer Bug moves, it's worth ... yeup, a mile.
No virtual moves, please. And there ain't no mail service in these parts.

• For each unique cacher who moves or discovers your Racer, it's worth 100 miles (Read: it's good strategy to *not* move or discover your other RedNeck's Racers until after the event!). The same cacher can move your Racer multiple times, but your Racer only gains 100 miles for the original find, plus any subsequent real milage for the ensuing moves.

• If you find an opponent's racer on the road somewhere, and you have an opportunity to kidnap it, take it. However, you must post a fair ransom that same day to give your opponent a fair chance to get back into the race. Remember, do unto others' Racers as you would have them do unto yours ... to a point.

• For every funny picture that involves Redneckery that cachers post with your Racer, it's worth 100 miles (one picture per unique cacher).

• If your bug visits any of the following caches you get an extra 600 miles:
Billy Bob's Redneck Roundup in Houston, TX - GCZ17R
Trailer Trash in Gainesville, FL (GCVRGY), or Redneck Sledding (GCXDX2) or Redneck Romper Room (GC1373G) outside Jacksonville, FL
Red Neck Hill outside of Clarksville, AR - GCZW40
Atomic City Redneck TB Hotel in Oak Ridge, TN - GC110N6

• If your Racer leaves the state and returns to its home cache in Shafter before the finish line event, it's worth 500 extra miles.
