Geocache Description:


On June 23, of 2007 a wild fire started just a few miles from here in an area up on the ridge line near Agoura Lake.

By June 28, the fire had burned 3,100 acres (about 12.5 square kilometers) and was only about 55 percent contained. Just North of this location is the local high school, beyond it is the town of South Lake Tahoe.

This is one of the areas where the fire fighters held the line and kept the fire from advancing into town.
