The great debate within the
geocaching realm on whether or not it is about the numbers. There
is a particular crowd that claims it is NOT about the numbers but
deep down they KNOW that it is. Because each number, whether you're
competing with your fellow cachers or not, tells a story. The
numbers speak of adventure, and cool places, and challenges we've
overcome. These numbers are important, in some way, no matter what
we want to admit openly.
There are many challenge caches
out there that represent nearly every possible "number" there is in
terms of geocaching. But the one thing I couldn't find is a
challenge was for webcam caches. This challenge is about webcams,
and it's about a bunch of them.
Your goal is to find and log
SEVENTEEN (17) or more webcam geocaches. Here are the
rules:
1. You must find and log 17 or more webcam caches.
2. The webcam caches MUST have the webcam cache icon, and not the
mystery icon.
3. All previous finds do count.
4. You MUST follow the webcam cache owner's logging requirements,
if there are any.
5. You MUST prove that you've fulfilled you requirement by listing
them in your log or by uploading the list as picture attachment to
your log.
6. While I can't control when you sign the physical log, you must
meet the requirement before logging the challenge as Found
online.
7. FIRST TO FIND (if you play the side game) is awarded to the
first person to MEET THE REQUIREMENT, SIGN THE PHYSICAL LOG, AND
LOG THE FIND ONLINE.
Have fun and remember,
it IS about the numbers, is some fashion or another.
As to the significance of 17..
that is the number agreed upon by myself, multiple reviewers, and
Groundspeak, as being the line between being a challenge while
still being reasonable to accomplish. Have fun.
