I have loved hummingbirds ever since I was a little girl. There is something magical about these little winged jewels. These small birds look rather plain until the sun catches their feathers just right. Then you see a beautiful flash of color.

This is a letterbox cache so know that the cache is not at the posted coordinates! This is a starting place only. Begin here at the hummingbird's "eye". Continue on up the trail in a northeastern direction for approximately 306 feet. Turn right and continue 12 more feet to the hummingbird's "nesting spot". Here you will find the cache. Stop and have a look around and maybe you will see one of these winged jewels speeding past. Stamp the log with the included stamp and date it. It's OK to leave small swag items, especially if they're hummingbird related.
