Monjeau Lookout can be found by taking Highway 48 north of Ruidoso, turn onto State Road 532 (Ski Run Road). Drive about one mile where you should turn right onto Forest Road 117 for about 5.4 miles. It's a gravel road; a car can can make it during good weather.
About one and one-half tenths of a mile from Monjeau Peak (about 5.4 miles from Highway 532), you'll see a sign for Mills Canyon Trail. Park here and walk North on the trail a few yards, then turn East (downhill). The views are incredible up here. Find the cache in a beautiful grove of aspens. Elevation 9572.
