Geocache Description:

Parking available.

In 1811 William Henry of the North West Company built Henry House. That same year fur trader David Thompson also of the North West Company crossed Athabasca Pass to return to Henry House. In doing so he established the primary trade route through the Canadian Rockies for the next 50 years. Read the plaque near the cache. For more information on Henry House and David Thompson visit the Jasper Yellowhead Museum. In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache. Please bring your own pen.
