The series

1km x 1km Ordnance Survey grid square in this area represents a
cell in the Sudoku puzzle. The SW corner of the grid is at
N053°12.998', W002°35.127' (SJ6100069000); the NE corner of the
grid is at N053°17.885', W002°27.096' (SJ7000078000).

Hidden in some of those squares are caches, such as this one,
that contain the number for that particular cell. The cells that
contain clues are indicated by question marks. Each cell is
referred to using a 4 digit OS grid reference for it's South West
corner.
The cache
Please note the cache was relocated on 3rd
September 2010 - please don't use any print-outs from before that
date.
This is cell SJ6475. You can park at the given coordinates (same
place as for Northwich Sudoku: Barnton) from where it is a pleasant
walk along the canal.
The cache is a 0.4l screw top beaker inside a camouflage bag.
Inside the lid you will find the following information:
- The OS grid square reference (for example: SJ6477)
- The number that you need for the Sudoku puzzle (for
example:9)
- The cell reference (for example d1)
The cache contains a customised “Northwich Sudoku”
first to find badge, a log book, a pencil, a sharpener and various
swaps.
When you have found enough clues, you will be able to solve the
Sudoku puzzle and find the
Puzzle Cache.
