Hawaiian Language Lesson #1 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

WeBeDnD: I got a tip that this one might be missing so I went to check. I found half the container on the ground and the logsheet a few feet away. Racoons or muggles? Either way, this one has seen it's day. Aloha.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Cache is roughly 50 feet from posted coordinates, so have a seat there, brush up on your Hawaiian, and plan your search using the clues. The cache is slightly larger than a micro, but not quite a regular size. Mostly intended for "sign only", but very small items may fit.

Let's learn some Hawaiian while geocaching!

You could probably stumble about and eventually find the cache without the clue, but if you do, you'll almost certainly be spotted as you search in this VERY busy location - especially if searching in the daytime. We suggest going at night when both foot and auto traffic is significantly lower. A small flashlight may be useful.

You will benefit greatly by taking the time to translate the Hawaiian clue below:

" Maka 'ike ka la'au. Maluna o ka pu'upu'u la'au. "

Other clues:

Don't turn any rocks.
Don't dig in the bushes or the dirt, or the grass, or well, just don't dig.
Don't play in the street or on any pavement.
Stay on your feet, keep your back to the street.
Keep your head up.
This will be a slightly uplifting experience.
Think "natural".

Cache contents at time of placement:
- Logsheet and standard geocache note.
- Pencil.
- Some stuff found nearby, just to make the cache rattle a bit.
- A prize for FTF.
