HAIL TO THE CHIEF AND HIS LITTLE PRINC3SS. (SORRY, CHIEF HAD TO COME FIRST FOR ONCE)
No matter what we do or who we do it with, or how the weather is outside or even the time of the day, there are always special people out there that have the ability to put a smile on our faces and make the time one to remember and hold close to our hearts.

The friends of the kingdom series of caches is meant to thank those friends of our royal family in a way that shares our experiences with the rest of the remarkable caching community. There are dedicated caches for milestones and for significant family events, but this series is simply an effort to thank those special people out there that have made caching even more special to us.

The third in our series of special caches for special people is dedicated to the very first people we encountered on the trails; finding our first hide in fact.

PRINCESS and “The CHIEF” have been true friends to our family (and I am very sure to the rest of the community as well). After we hid our first cache last year, we waited, and dear I say staked out the area, for the first finder. On our way home from one of our royal obligations with the little princesses we saw a car parked at the entrance to the kingdom. We just had to stop and say hi. Princess and Peanut Butter had journeyed here from nearby kingdoms to make the find and were very excited to let us know about there adventure.

With a wonderful log and a very cheery disposition she made us all smile and showed us why making our own hides were so much fun….and well worth some of the aggravation that goes with it.

With each subsequent hide there was high probability of meeting the lovely PRIC3SS from afar again. With her faithful pooch by her side and CHIEF KJB ensuring her safety, she searches high and low in the day or at night. One thing always remains true….her logs will always make you smile and look forward to the next.

We met the CHIEF on several occasions and have talked about everything from Boston sports and fishing to caching and obsessions (wait, those last 2 might be the same thing). We have shared laughs and stories on and from the trails. A jolly gent who is a true hero in my mind, CHIEF is not only his name but also his title. He is always willing to smile and chat when he has time, but other times he is saving lives and putting his own at risk. Thank you CHIEF for all that you and your men do.

PRINC3SS and Chief and even little Peanut Butter are true friends to all they meet and are monuments in the local geo-caching area. They are respectful of others and always helpful when the need arises. It is people like these two friends of the kingdom that make each caching day more special.

This cache is a multi. The first stage is dedicated to CHIEF KJB (a micro with the coordinates) and the final is for PRINC3SS (our typical ammo box). Good luck on your hunt!

BTW: It might be smart to relocate your carriages between finds...unless you like the walk in the unknown lands.....SO FAR ANYWAY.

FTF: CHIEF of course
STF: Awe shucks....PRINC3SS was dethroned

We're not sure if the snow was a factor but we didn't find the 1st waypoint. We'll be back later.

1615 of 1644: Great fun on this cache. I like multi's because they usually make you hike. The final coordinates put me on the wrong side of the road and I checked some likely spots on that side but I didn't expect to find anything. Finally I checked the logs and used JEM3's offsets which put me at the cache. Here's something I noticed - if you take the fractional portion of the North minutes of the final coordinates and swap them with the fractional portion of the West minutes you end up with coordinates that are pretty close to the final coordinates with the JEM3 offsets. Took the 'Bright Shining Respect 8' TB. TFTC.

Out today with Mr.KK in the area so we added this one to our list of early winter caching finds.
Nice walk but not a lot of winter parking spots.
As we got back to car a car was driving south a tooted, must of been another cacher. Just not sure who.
