Geocache Description:

This cache was started by Team Bushmaster and we adopted it. They have done a wonderful job of the cache page and so I am leaving it as they prepared it except to say this is a cache best accessed by west bound cachers. From Team Bushmaster :-
.

Please be carefull how you park as the big trucks stop here to check their brakes..

In the Old Days there was Pony Express... Now we have Geo-Xpress... A Geocaching Post Office and Trackables Cache...

This is a Geo-Post Office

It is used to swap Letters and Postcards and Trackables between Geocachers!

Here is how it works:

Caches are placed to hold postcards. Each postcard will have a short message and a forwarding address on it. The address will contain the person's name that you are trying to send the postcard to, their home city, and a destination cache. The idea is to move postcards between Geo-Post Offices until they reach their destination. When you move a postcard or message from one place to another, let the person who it's being sent to know where you moved it to, because they might be near enough to go and pick it up. If you move a postcard from one Geo-Post Office to another, please move it closer to the city or cache!

Some postcards will have specific instructions on them also.. please follow them...

You can send any message you want to anyone you want!

How do you get started? Easy! Just write up your postcard and drop it in the Geo-Post Office!

If there are any postcards in the cache when you arrive, feel free to forward them on, if you can. If not, don't worry, just leave them for the next Geocacher.

There are a few Postcards in this cache for you to write a message and send it off from Port Alberni BC Canada..

Or you can just log your "find", as you would a regular cache, too.

The cache is a 8inch long by 5inch high lock & lock container. PLEASE PLEASE make sure the cache is replaced in the same place and well hidden... There is no swag in the cache - it is for postcards and trackables only,I.E. Geocoins..Travel Bugs...

Please don't feel that you have to run out and spend your hard-earned cash on a postcard at the store. You can print and laminate a huge variety of postcards off the internet. Or just write up a letter, the "old-fashioned" way!

Who should I send these postcards or messages to?

Anybody that you want!

What’s the purpose?

It’s another fun thing that we can do with geocaching! It’s also nice to keep in touch with others!

What do I need to put on a postcard?

Put the name of the Geocacher, a city and you’ll most likely want to put a cache that they can pick it up from.

A little message is usually appreciated too.

How far can I send one?

As far as you want, as long as there are Geo-Post Offices along the way there!

How Do I send one?

Go to any Geo-Post Office and place your message or postcard in there. Please, if your putting one in try to move a different one along.

How Do I start my own Geo-Post Office?

All you need is a cache container, a log book, a stash note, some zip-lock bags and of course postcards or letters to go in it! Put the post cards or messages in the zip-lock and place the log book in another. Make sure to put in the name of the cache “Geo-Post Office” so that others will know. You may even want to include this note on the cache page to introduce new people.

Also as with the regular "Snail Mail"System please do not send valuables through the mail...

Have fun!
