GA Geo-Campers Visiting Black Rock Mountain Event Cache

You are invited to camp out with us at the beautiful Black Rock Pioneer Camp Tsatu-Gi. We are very excited to host Georgia Geo-Campers in Camp Tsatu-Gi as we team up with TeamBearCat once again! This camp has a cabin for our daytime use that includes a refrigerator and electricity (how's that for primitive?). Black Rock Mountain State Park is located in the mountainous Northwest corner of Georgia where we expect the temperature to be moderate for mid-August.

To reserve your space at Camp Tsatu-Gi, simply note in your 'will-attend' log you will be camping with us.

The camping fee is $20 per couple/family for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). Please bring all camping gear you may need. There are 4 Adirondack shelters (each shelter has 8 bunks) in a circle around a large fire ring, in front of the cabin. There is a grill, picnic tables, pit latrine, and running water. There are no hot showers or flush toilets for this area and no access to these types of facilities. Campers must carry gear a short walk from parking lot to site. Hammock campers should bring tripods just in case they are needed.

Prefer a traditional campground with your RV, tent, etc? Make your reservations via the Black Rock Mountain State Park website for their regular campground. No matter of your preference for camping, you're always welcome to join us with our scheduled activities. Please join us for our Saturday night event whether you camp out or not.

You don't have to spend the night camping to be able to attend the event.


Schedule of Events:
6:30 pm Meet and Greet with dinner around the fire (bring something to add to our potluck)
7:30 pm GG-C Activities -> announcements, give-a-ways, including the Jackpot Camper Drawing (bring unactivated trackables to participate)
8-9:30 PM Campfire Games: be prepared for a few surprises! Maybe another Bear Hunt...

First time camper? Parks will assist you and provide camping gear and supplies at eight of the Georgia State Parks.

SYWN: Folding chairs, food and beverages, flashlights, a guitar, camp and other nite time gear. If you took pictures while at the event, please share them and add them to your "Attended" log.

There is a $5 gate fee if you don't have a park pass to enter any State Park.
