Just off Fred Canyon "road".
You will probably need a high-clearance 4wd (if the road is open) or a good set of hiking boots (if the road is closed or you like to walk) to get to this cache.
Getting there is the fun part! Can be reached from at least two directions, both near national forest campgrounds about ten miles apart. The road is closed during the winter and sunset-sunrise. Otherwise, should be an easy tho long hike. Once you're in the area, no heavy bushwhacking required.
You should have a Forest Adventure Pass, available at Mt Laguna store or Pine Valley store. If you're camping out here, no fires (If you come in from the North, you'll see why!). Be aware that this area has a lot of illegal immigrant traffic.
No really brilliant Geoswag at the moment; maybe I'll make it back out there. But you're not coming here for the plastic toys, are you? Could use a Geocache info sheet if you have one handy.
Drive slow if you don't want to hike back out!
