Geocache Description:

Ammo can surrounded by malapais rocks with a rock cover. Trail is rocky in places so may not be suitable for very small children.

Take a Hike Crystal Point is the fifth of a series of caches in Northern Arizona. It is located on the Munds Park trail system, in the Coconino National Forest and is accessible on maintained roads to the trail head. These trails are maintained on an informal basis by the residents in Munds Park.
Crystal Point is a name that the locals have given this area and won’t be found on any maps, access to the trailhead is available to all vehicles. Exit I-17 at exit 322 “Munds Park” and follow the road east to the end of the pavement, the trailhead is located just up the gravel road with a large parking lot and several trailheads. The Crystal Point trail takes off to the south and is an easy 1.25 mile (one way) hike. The trail offers occasional views of Oak Creek Canyon and the Pinewood golf course. The cache is located a short distance (0.4 miles) from the trailhead parking lot and is about 200 feet west of the trail.
So grab some water and hit the trail.
