MK Schooldays: Leisure, Travel & Tourism Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

MKGees: I have decided, on reflection, to archive the current Schooldays series and (maybe) refresh them with something similar later in the year. As this one is evidently missing I'm just archiving it now. If you need the bonus code to complete the series please drop me an email or IM.

Geocache Description:

This is the Leisure, Travel & Tourism examination from the MK Schooldays series of caches by MKGees.

The series is based very loosely around GCSE examinations.

The puzzle icon is shown at one of Milton Keynes' educational establishments, in this case Hazeley School.

However, the cache is not at this location. Please do not attempt to park or search there. It is private land.

As with all of this series, we are available for mentoring and support by email on request.

GCSEs were introduced into secondary schools in England in 1986 to replace the previous GCE "O" Levels and CSEs. They are available in a bewildering array of different subjects in a number of distinct categories. Leisure, Travel & Tourism sits in the People & Society category.

Passing this examination will reveal Bonus Code G for MK Schooldays: Graduation Day.

Leisure, Travel & Tourism Examination: Time Limit 1 Fortnight (preferably in summer)

This is a simple practical examination. All you have to do is to visit the Bureau de Change and buy enough Euros for your upcoming summer holiday.

We normally use the one at North Eo U.RO West Co A.SH

E = SKK + ( BEF / NLG ) + NLG

U = FRF - FIM

RO = ESP - LUF - ( MCF / NLG )

C = MTL

A = LUF + MCF + ( SKK / EEK )

SH = (( ITL* NLG ) / ( FIM + FRF )) + GRD - ( SKK + ATS + NLG + MCF )

The final cache is a 450ml clip lock box covered in black duck tape. It contains a small log book and pencil/pen. Please, as ever, take care to replace the cache as you found it.

As you will most likely solve this at home before venturing out, the final cache is placed where the calculated coordinates appear to be on GoogleMaps. This may be a few feet from where your GPS thinks it is.

We hope you enjoy your studies and that you get the grades you need.
