The Forbidden Trail cache is located at the top of the Kalofer's ecotrail system. The Ecotrail is well-marked and extremely interesting experience not only for every mountain lover! At the end of the EcoTrail you get the chance to see a breathtaking view over Djendema towards the mountain top. Not far from there on a trail, marked as "forbidden", you will find your treasure. In fact, the trail is not forbidden by the park, it's only marked that way, as the Ecotrail system ends there, and after that a regular mountain trail begins.
There are several ways to get to the Kaloferski Monastery and the ongoing Ecotrail system behind it. The Ecotrail is called "Byala reka", you can easily google it.
You can get there by car ( after Kalofer, look for the turn to the Monastery. The road is paved, then it turns to an unpaved for a mile or so, and after that it's paved again until you reach the Monastery.
You can also go with a bus, or a train to Kalofer, and after that hike the trail to the monastery with a bycicle, or even walk the distance.
A useful phone number is the "Byala Reka" guesthouse's one, as they offer a ride from Kalofer right to the beginning of the Ecotrail. The price is 5 lv. in one direction. The guesthouse sounds to be also very nice, but i haven't checked it personally. The price is 14 lv/person/night, i think. The phone is: 0897 94 06 35
