Near fifth water hot springs,elevation 6132 feet, 2 1/2 mile hike
Original container was an old aluminum lunch box. Now a fairly large plastic tube.

Directions. Take I-15 to HWY 6 exit, head East up Spanish Fork Canyon 20 miles, turn left on Sheep Creek Rd. Travel 13.7 miles up road to Fifth Water Trailhead. Hike 2.5 miles. Enjoy luxurious soak in hot springs after finding cache. Best pool is nearest cache.
Note(July 11, 2004) Diamond Fork tunnel is completed, so a more scenic, more enjoyable approach is now available again: Go 10 miles up Spanish Fork Canyon, turn left where sign says Diamond Fork. From this point drive 9.2 miles up a nice paved road. Then turn right into unmarked parking area. Park here. Then do not cross bridge, but take trail behind new restrooms. It is an enjoyable 55 minute hike(with my 8-year-old) to the cache and hot springs. Watch for a beaver dam and a great close up view of a beaver on the stretch of stream after you cross the foot bridge. the foot bridge is roughly the half way point.
