This is an easy walk into the Corte Madera wetlands. It is near
major shopping areas and the freeway, yet it remains its own world.
I usually start from the Macy's end, but some people do it the
other way.
The cache is a green ammo box, hidden close to the trail. If the
path is wet from one end, try the other and you might fare better.
You might see egrets or other shore birds on the way to the cache.
On a nice day, you will almost certainly see dog walkers so please
use appropriate stealth. There is a planked walkway on the other
side of the upper path, not too far away, where you could take the
cache to sit down, sign the log, and enjoy the area.
As you walk to the cache, you will be able to view the mountain
. . . watching . . . even as all of Marin watches it.
