Geocache Description:

Formerly know as K.I.S.S. My Cache 4

WP#1: N47° 35.000' x W122° 38.165'

The above coordinates are only approximations for where to park your vehicle, since the name of the park is a guarded secretand they should not be taken literally. Your only clue is to park near Bus Stop Shelter #1021.

Once you have arrived at the correct parking area, stroll down to the Gazebo and take a relaxing break admiring the waterfront view. When ready, locate the plaque that has been dedicated to Linda S. Poppe and take note of the dates.

BORN: June A, BCDE
DIED: October FG, HIJK

Having done so, perform the simple mathematics:

LATITUDE:
U = D + E
V = K
W = C - H

LONGITUDE:
X = F - B
Y = G + K
Z = A + F

WP#2: N47° 34.UVW' x W122° 38.XYZ' - The Final Cache

THE CONTAINER:
If I tell you what it looks like, you might be able to find it easier. So, be prepared for just about any style of Micro-Cache.

CAUTION:
Please be very careful when looking for the final cache location, since this is a very high Muggle Walking area!

This cache is Tide Dependent, so you will not be able to access the cache unless the tide is out some distance from the shoreline, thus allowing you to walk the beach.

CLUE:
Lots and lots and lots of pointy things and a rock!

PARKING:
Do Not Park on the main thoroughfare, unless you want to attract the attention of the local authorities. You will find adaquate parking nearby Waypoint #1.

SPECIAL NOTE:
The first half of the cache is Wheelchair compatible, but once you have desended the stairs to the beach area, for the second half of the cache, wheelchair compatibility ends.

And Now For Something Completely Different!

Just a bit of historical trivia to amuse you,
since some of us never really know the source(s)
of adages, sayings and nursery rhymes.

Every heard of the phrase "Not Worth A Tinker's Damn"?

     A TINKER was an itinerant tradesman who mended pots and pans. The name could derive from either the sound of a bell that the tinker rang to announce he was in the neighborhood.
     Some say that it should be spelled DAM, because it is not a curse, but rather a term for a method used in mending pots. The Tinker would use a piece of bread, or other soft material, to plug the hole he was mending to prevent his solder from flowing all over and escaping.
     This DAM was worthless after the pot was mended, and was discarded. Therefore, a Tinker's Dam was a worthless bit of detritus.
     The origin of the phrase is most likely the simplest explanation. Tinkers had a reputation for cursing, and a tinker's damn was not worth much because tinkers damned everything.
