In celebration of our 400th cache find, we decided to finally start placing more caches. We’ve had several ideas for quite some time now, but just haven’t gotten around to them.
The idea for this cache came after completing The Pyramid of Menkaure cache. Why we would want to go and make something so difficult even harder, I’m not sure… but we did.
The puzzle is in the style of a "Paint by Numbers" picture logic puzzle as popularized by Games Magazine... and Kiwimonster, with one major twist. You should be able to find web references that can help you figure out how to begin solving it.
Here is a link to the puzzle in JPG format. For some, this puzzle may be easy. For others it may be impossible. Our hope is that for everyone it will be challenging and fun. There are patterns hidden throughout the puzzle. Find them, and your task may be much easier.
The cache is an ammo can, with several Geocaching goodies and travel bugs. For the first finder, there is a replica of the completed puzzle. Gloat all you want, but keep it out of sight of those who haven’t yet completed the puzzle. Please take care to hide the cache back exactly where and how you found it.
With the recent rain, the area around the cache has become muddy and slippery.
Please be careful, and try not to damage yourself or the surrounding area.
