General terrain is mostly flat. You can drive most of the way with
a short hike at the end.
No reason to cry about this one. The reason we rated the terrain a
three is because of the distance. It is about 30 miles from Imlay
and 30 miles from Lovelock. Easily accessible by 2-Wheel drive with
some clearance. If you come in from the Imlay side, you follow the
Lassen-Applegate Emigrant Trail for part of the way.
This cache is an easy find and is in an ammo can to withstand
the elements.
If you like looking for Apache Tears, this is the place. If you
don't, you may be lucky enough to spot some wild horses or antelope
in the area, like we did the day that we placed this
cache.
