Geocache Description:

This is another cache that is located on the paved section of the Jasper Discovery Trail.
You may read the interpretive sign, but the cache is not on, near or under the sign. (Sign is not there at the moment but I will leave this information in case it comes back)

Roche Bonhomme nicknamed Old Man Mountain is part of the Colin Range and stands 2495 m (8186 ft ) high. The name translated from French means "good fellow". The mountain has a shape that resembles a face. The dark coloured face of Bonhomme that gazes into the sky east of Jasper townsite is composed of Triassic siltstone of the Sulpher Mountain formation and that lies above the lighter coloured Permian and Carboniferous strata. This colour difference can be seen during the summer months. During the winter Old Man relaxes under a blanket of snow. Can you make out his nose and chin?

Please bring your own pen.

In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache. No TB's of any kind allowed.
