Geocache Description:

At the base of Bloom Peak, on the Montana side, is a small lake called 93 mile lake. From what I have heard it gets it's name from the distance it is from the Canadian border if you follow the Idaho/Montana border. Bloom peak is a great spot to sit in the evening and watch animals come in to the lake below for a drink. You can get to the lake a couple of ways depending on how hard you want to hike. From the top of Bloom it is about a quarter of a mile as the crow flies, but watch that first step. If you follow the road south from the top and take the first road to the left (the upper one) you will come to a spot that you can park and you will see the trail marker. From there it is an easy 1/2 mile with just a little climbing. The trail is a hiking trail only, no motorized vehicles even though the sign has a tendancy to disappear. Be sure to cover the cache well when you leave. At the top of bloom going North on the road you will notice a row of poles following the road just below you. I'm not sure, but it looks like at one time they had run either power or phone lines all the way to the top. Enjoy your visit, and take a few minutes to look around from the top. The road is a little rough, but a car with a little clearance should be able to make it ok.
