This is a thematic cache based on a childhood story I was told about a bride who had to throw away her past as a child to marry.
The cache is hidden near Bridal falls, a 4 mile (round trip) hike in Index, WA. The hike to the cache is very nice and easy for most.
To get to Bridal falls, drive east on highway 2 and turn right at Mt. Index Road, just past mile marker 35. Take the next right which drops you off at the trailhead. A NW Forest Pass is required.
I thought of this cache from an story I once heard of a bride who resisted marriage because she was too afraid of letting go of her life as a child. The location's name, Bridal falls, was also a perfect complement. The cache consists of items based on the story. All small toys that a child might play with. The cache represents the treasure the bride hid under her castle and often visited when depressed with the lack of whimsy in her life. When adding to the cache, try to find items that would keep with the style and theme of the story.
