Geocache Description:

Look for the Adoption Center. It is placed at a residence with permission. Most all the puppies are adopted, but you can still find and log the cache!

We all know the story of the 101 Dalmatians, right ? Well Cruella is on the prowl. Your job is to help save Pongo, Perdita, and their 99 Dalmatian puppies from Cruella and her henchmen, Jasper and Horace, and any other puppy muggles who want to capture them and make them into coats. This cache is the second of 3 “Save the Dalmatians” caches to be put out in southern Maine. It is placed on private property with permission.

You can help save the Dalmatians by finding this cache (or one of the other two going out in the next week or so) and adopting a puppy (you can adopt an additional puppy here even though you have already done one elsewhere) so Crulella and her puppy muggles can’t find it. You can hide your puppy under a lamppost, behind a guardrail, or anywhere that you feel it would be safe and dry. You cannot hide it in the woods, because they are too small to take care of themselves. All the puppies in this cache have rolled in soot to help them hide better, and all are numbered. All the puppies are to be hidden in Maine only, and south of 44 25.000 and west of 68 58.000 All hidden puppies must be no more than a # 2.5 hide and all terrain must be a #1 (handicap accessible). Please Try to be original in your hides. Try to keep them as muggle free as possible. PLEASE DO NOT PLACE THESE PUPPIES IN ROCK WALLS OR IN CEMETERYS.

Each puppy comes with a 5 page log sheet and instructions for logging it in. THE INCLOSED STANDARD CACHE PAGES AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO BE USED, so that all Dalmatian hide pages are the same.

When you pick up your puppy, Log a note in the cache that you have adopted a puppy. After you hide your puppy and it is posted on the geocaching site, you can log a find for this cache. Your log must include your puppy’s number and their waypoint number. On an ongoing basis, fellow geocachers will visit your puppy and make sure it is safe. Should you ever decide to give up your puppy, please let me know so we can find someone to adopt it. If you decide to archive it, please let us know so we will replace it.

You will want to keep track of all the puppies you visit, once they are put out, because anyone that visits more than 50 puppies can have their name listed on the original Hoamdezinahs cache page. You can count your on puppy as one of the fifty, you do not need to log a smily on your own.

Who will be the first to visit all 101 puppies????????? You can count your own puppy as a visited puppy.

NOW GET OUT THERE AND ADDOPT ONE OF THESE PUPPIES, BECAUSE WE KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF CRUELLA FINDS THEM !!!!!!!!!!
