Long 2 mile uphill hike through a misty forest. Great viewpoint on the way to the lake. Around 1000 ft gain. It is all downhill on the way back to the trailhead.
The destination is well worth the difficult hike to the lake. Crystal clear waters and beautiful chuckanut sandstone rock formations (help me out here bellinghamster) on the N side of the lake. There are plenty of short trails on the N side of the lake that are ripe to explore. Bring some food and some water for this hike.
Reception is spotty up here, but you can get a pretty decent signal where the cache is located.
The cache is in a fair sized plastic water thermos painted green. Please keep it covered with foliage and such.
