If you are traveling through on I-40, be sure to look for this
cache. Downtown Clinton (Frisco Street) boasts 2 parks with
fountains, a vibrant business district with many nice businesses,
and it is also very pretty at night. Engleman park is the location
of several different events, including Hot Dog Daze in June to
celebrate the economic contribution of Bar S Foods, our largest
employer in town. Cinco De Mayo was held here in 2005, hopefully it
will return.
Take a minute and enjoy the sounds of the fountain in this park,
while you try to imagine the traffic on Frisco Avenue back when it
was one of the alignments of Route 66.
