We went backpacking in the Fort Rob area, and left a couple of Caches.
We didn't know how bad the forest fire was, but we did expect more young trees. You will want some sunscreen for this hike - NO shade on this trip!
This is a slightly smaller than regular cache. You are looking for a cache made from PVC tube - 3" diameter- about 15" long. Painted camo colors. The end has a screw cap. See photo. Tube also has the standard GEOCACHE letter laminated on the outside..
This cache is hidden at/in the base of a bush/tree. Tree is sitting directly behind obvious 'site' at co-ordinates. However, it is quite a walk from the trail head. You can cut the difficulty in half, if you have a horse! (We walked this one, but note, this one is quite a hike !)
