In the year 2000 England went mad with Millennium celebrations
and all over the country things were done to improve the local
immenities.
In Pateley an area was produced for the locals to enjoy, with a
cycle park for the youngsters, picnic tables and short well marked
out walks.
It is in this area the cache has been placed.
Go to the co-ordinates you will find an information board
showing you the layout of the park.
To find the cache:-
1. First of all find on the information board the kissing
gate
2. Proceed to the kissing gate. (please don't spend too long
kissing your partner)
3. look for a large rock covered with moss (20 feet away) - Not
river side !
PARKING AND WALK
Although parking can be found closer to the cache, I recommend
the following:-
1. Park at N54 05.089 W001 45.675 the public car park just by
the river bridge on the main street- Cost 40p for 1 hour
2. Cross the River back towards the town
3. Take the first road on the left (marked pathway)
4. Follow the public footpath signs though the houses
5. Follow the path until you reach the co-ordinates
6. After finding the cache, cross the bridge and follow the
river path back to the car.
The entire walk is around 3/4 mile !
