How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

You can drive right by. We parked in a very close driveway that goes nowhere. Those using wheelchairs and strollers should be advised that there is a curb with no ramps cut in it.

This is a virtual cache. There is no container. The only log is here, on this web site. There is a reward at the end when you successfully complete this hunt.

Note: no "armchair caching", please: we believe a player must visit a cache site in person in order for it to count as a find.

1) Look up high! Remember or write down the item depicted by the weather vane that serves as the town's logo.

To get credit for this cache, please e-mail us what item the weather vane looks like. You may log your cache after you have e-mailed us (waiting is no fun), but we will delete any log that has not sent confirmation data. We will answer each e-mail, whether you log right away or wait for our okay. We don't check e-mail every day, so don't worry if you don't hear back from us immediately.

2) While you are still at the lighthouse, you’ll need to remember or write down the four numbers printed on the east side of the lighthouse (we are pretty sure those numbers represent the year the town was founded.)

To complete this cache you may unlock a beautiful certificate of accomplishment created especially for this cache. You can print it out in full color, put it in an expensive frame, and hang it on your wall!

Anyway. Use the four digits of the year from part 2 as the password which will open the file containing the certificate of accomplishment which we will email to you as a MS Word attachment (you will need to leave the box checked to send your email address with your reply so that we can attach the certificate.)

You might want to walk to the nearby Tiny Coin Cache (good luck!), or visit the Oklahoma Aquarium, which is visible from here.

This cache may also be logged as a Navicache find.
