I am learning to upload images so this is another shot at the find. Powell went by here in 1869 and again in 1872. Was the first to go thru the canyon in a boat. Amazing!!!!!

Like Dick from KK said this was NIOT a 1/1 for us or anyone at this time that will visit. I wish we would of brought our snowshoes from NH but we pushed forwars nun-the-less.
This was my first time here and I really wanted at least one cache. So we started of walk while the ladies walked around the main area. We met some people and some we had a great chat with and took photos.
I really can't say enough about this particular spot to give it the justice it truly deserves. If this is the onlky cache I ever get near the Grand Canyon I would be truly satisfied. My first inpression when I saw the Canyon at the main parking lot was "In Ahh' Just beautiful, But then I walked in the three mikles and then post holed the last .2 to the monument. I still do not have the words to decribe what i felt and saw at that point. the last .1 miles was the best .1 miles i have even walked that I can remember. If you have not done this Virtual. What the heck are you waiting for.

We have been to the canyon twice before & never did or noticed this virtual........Came back with 76CJ7 this time ....When we got to the canyon there was so much snow the hermit rd wasnt plowed so we parked at the village & turned a 1-1 virtual into a 6 mile round trip hike but for this cache it was well worth it.....when we got to within .25 of the cache we started to folllow footprints in .....then we noticed they went around a tree & back to the road....we did feel like hiking in 2 ft of snow so back to the road & went back in when we were within.15........We were glad that we did .....TFTC.....photo & answers to your questions to follow
