Keep Brevard Beautiful has been very helpful when it comes to here on the Space Coast. The opportunity came up a few years ago to adopt a roadway for the Space Coast Geocachers. We opted to adopt Goodwin Dr. Well we have since changed the roadway that we have adopted. Now we have Sykes Creek and N Banana River Drive. When you adopt a roadway the idea is you volunteer to keep this section clean.
Since this is one of the 7 souvenirs that you need we thought we would host this event to give everyone the opportunity to grab one of the souvenirs. We will meet at the posted coords at 8:00 and hand out instructions. Half of the crew will head down N Banana River Dr and half will head down Sykes Creek. We will clean the roadway from the sidewalks keeping everyone safe. We will meet back at the starting point to pile all the trash up and take a pic. Once we are done here we will then move over to a nearby establishment where we will soak up some A/C and enjoy some lunch together.
Event starts at 8:00 am and lasts until around 11:00 am.
Lunch will start around 11:30 am or there abouts.
We will provide grabbers, bags and water.
Everyone participating in this event will be required to wear a safety vest since we will be working close to the roadway. Please log your will attend so we can plan accordingly. See everyone on Sunday morning.
