Park in the Holiday Inn lower parking lot,
accessed from behind McDonald's on McKnight Road. Look for a short
path off the north side of the driveway, marked with an upright
4"x4" post. Take this path and go in about 30 feet and cut off it
at an angle to the left, bushwacking to the trailhead waypoint. The
trail up the hill is not groomed nor is it marked and it's a bit
steep. You will then find a web of trails through the wooded area
and may see some wildlife.
This is a Traditional Cache with the
container being a green metal 50 caliber ammo can. You may find a
lot of young muggle traffic in these woods as there are several
housing plans on the Babcock Boulevard side of this hill. Please
use stealth to prevent unwanted eyes from seeing where the cache is
located and hide the cache box well after your find.
If you are up for the adventure of
conquering much more difficult terrain, this cache can also be
located from the Ross Community Park area, starting from the
alternate trailhead waypoint listed below. To get an idea of the
difficulty, read the very first dozen of the log entries for this
cache.
WARNING: There may be cache guardians on
duty. Don't be scared of them. And please don't take them, they are
not trade items.
Help keep the environment clean and
"Cache In Trash Out." Thanks!
While here, you may want to find a
Traditional Cache
McKnight Ridge Runner North and a Multi-Stage Cache,
Sebastian's Respite, which are located nearby.
