DON’T dive alone!
The shipwreck of the cargo ship Dori took place in 1964, and today it is “the” essential diving spot of the Azores, due to its unique characteristics in terms of access. With a length of 800 meters, the wreckage rests on a sandy seabed, sheltering diverse species, such as octopus, red porgy and ornate wrasse. Around it, lots of yellowmouth barracudas and Almaco jacks can be spotted. From a depth of 10 meters onwards, the shape of this sleeping giant is more easily perceived.
For a long time the local people have said that touching the blade of the propeller of the Dori brings good luck to the diver. With this underwater geocache you are now challenged to do it!
