We’ll gather near the posted coordinates at Cherokee Rock Village between 10:00-11:00 am to get the day started. Look for the Geocaching Flag.
You may wish to participate in some of the park events or go out on your own geocaching and hiking. Bring a picnic lunch and stay the whole day! The nearest town with eating establishments is 7.5 miles from the park. BYOC (bring your own chair) and bring plenty of water if you will be hiking.
Our agenda for this event will include a brief intro to geocaching for any in attendance that are not geocachers or are new to the hobby. Cell phone reception in this location could be hit or miss so prepare ahead so you’ll have coordinates in case of no signal.
