Downers Park is in the upper Woodland area of Duluth. The "official" park is fairly small, but there are trails that run for quite awhile in the area.
This cache serves two purposes. One to introduce everyone who hasn't been to this area to Downers Park, this overlook is pretty nice. The second, to highlight the frustrating habit some people have of abusing the natural areas around them. To claim credit for this Virtual simply email me with a description of the problem in this isolated area. On an additional note; many of the other trails along this area of Vermilion Rd. can be hiked for quite a distance.
PLEASE NOTE THE GC.COM RULE THAT THE PHYSICAL SITE OF A VIRTUAL CACHE MUST BE VISITED IN ORDER TO LOG THE FIND. I had to delete logs from people who almost certainly did not visit the physical site. I will continue to check each log to verify that the finder appears to have visited the physical site, and if it is highly likely that you did not, your log will be deleted, even if you answer the question correctly. In order to have a fair playing field, everybody in the game needs to follow the same rules.
