Geocaching is heading towards the international space station on November 7th at 4:08 am (GMT). Well kind of, Astronaut Rick Mastracchio also known as AstroRM , will be taking a special travel bug named TB5JJNI on his mission to the ISS. Mastracchio is using this travel bug as a learning tool to help teach students around the world about geography and geocaching. You can follow this little travel bug's journey Here.
In lieu of this great event Geocaching.com will allow anyone who logs an attended for any event on either November 6th or 7th to get the new geocaching in space souvenir. This event was brought to my attention by Ogeo via our local facebook group "Quad Cities Geocachers", and I also believe that it would be a great reason to get together and earn this souvenir.
So let's meet up for dinner at no other than the Wayback Cafe located at the coordinates above or
2138 13th ave. Lewiston, Id.
Let's meet up at 6pm and share some some caching stories!
See you there!
