This is a straightforward 2 stage multi cache with about 1.5 miles between stages. Stage 2 is located southeast of stage 1 (further away from the trailhead). Stop for stage 1 on your way out to the dam to avoid backtracking.
At the end of every year a LOST & FOUND table shows up in the hallway. Misplaced items are put on display hoping to be remembered by their negligent owners. After a week or so the LOST items turn into FREE items, up for grabs on a first come first serve basis. I always keep my eye open for potential geocache containers and usually FIND a few. Two of those containers have been reconditioned, camouflaged and reinstalled on the Enola Low Grade Trail for you to FIND.
Enjoy sweeping views of the Susquehanna River along this 5.25 mile trail which begins at the base of Turkey Hill Point and ends near the Safe Harbor Dam. The trail is 12 feet wide compressed stone with elevated observation decks, natural waterfalls, a restored caboose, picnic tables, benches and restrooms along the way. This section follows an abandoned right of way of the Enola Low Grade Railroad, one of several branch lines of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Caches along this section of the trail have been hidden by members of the LOST group. LOST is the Lancaster Organization for Seeking Tupperware.
