Another cache and dash in MTRP; goes well with the
Mountains in Motion cache by TR Violin.
Before I got addicted to geocaching, I was addicted to orchid
growing. An expensive habit. I got involved with the orchid society
and became VP of the society (only sounds impressive). I eventually
left orchid growing due to the amount of politics involved. You
wouldn't think there would be politics in flowers, but there
is.
To make a long story not quite as long, I became interested in
native orchid species and, indeed, there is a clump of native
orchids less than 500 feet from this location. Sadly, the area has
since become "sensitive habitat" and has been fenced off and
posted. For the better, I guess.
