This cache has been archived.

Cowboy Camper: WOW! After reading the Attendee's Logs tonight, I am SO very impressed! (aside from Joe telling me I need another Teacher... LOL!)

Joe, you done Great! The smaller crowd helped, I'm sure.. and the fact that you had the Projector this time also helped So very much! We had ample time to talk about each and Everyone's questions as they came up. Heck, even I felt like I had some teaching opportunities here as I shared My know how of GSAK.

I thank you much, gal's for comin in and taking part. Stand by, for the Next one (V.3.0) is coming up again in February, 2011. It'll be either 2-19 or 26 of Feb. Same day (Saturday) , Same Venue, and around the same time. Stay Tuned, as I'll be lining up the next one just as soon as I can!!!

As All attendees have logged in, I may as well Archive this one now... and I'll sure be lookin' forward to February's V.3.0 Event! [:D]

Geocache Description:

A small group Class/Seminar to learn about GSAK (Geocache Swiss Army Knife) a popular and useful program that is specifically designed and written for Geocaching.

I'm a little better prepared for take 2, as I'm the one who set up the Location this time! Anyhow, a newer member at the forums that I host has been Gracious enough to offer to teach a little class to help me ~ and hopefully some others ~ learn about the GSAK (Geocache Swiss Army Knife) software program.

The teacher for this Class/Seminar will be siameseretriever, and his name is Joe. He has offered to teach a beginner/Basic class to get folks to understand what GSAK has to offer. I, as the host of the Forums, offered to make this an Official Event Cache for cachers the first time, and here we are again for V.2.0.

This Event Cache will be hosted at:

the Bourbonnais Public Library, Located at:

250 W. John Casey Road, Bourbonnais, IL 60914 from 1:30 to 3:45 PM. at the latest. (Library Closes at 4 PM, and I'll need to clean up after ourselves.)

The listed coordinates were taken from Microsoft's Streets and Trips 2010 program and you should be able to find your way there with a regular Hand held GPS'r as used for caching. Otherwise, set that Address into a Car GPSr, and you're sure to find the destination. (unlike the first event, I live right here...)

The Shorter Notice is likely going to prove prudent, for we Are limited to the first 25 folks that sign up MAX!!!. If you are planning on Attending, please make a Will Attend log rather than the Note log, as I will be using the logs to keep a running Tally for the Event.

Although this is going to be a Limited class/seminar, we are hoping that a few of you will be able to join us for an informative time together to learn a bit about the GSAK program. As the Event Owner, I will be attending as a Student again, but this time I am able to offer Coffee and Donuts as well. So I am hoping some others will join us to learn and share a good time of fellowship as well. However, I myself also hope that maybe a couple of more experienced users of GSAK might also show up to share your own experience with GSAK as well. There is Always room to live and Learn from one another.

We hope to see you there!!!

I have a Forum set up for fellow Cachers to visit and chat with us. Certainly, this Event is a currently Active Topic. Please visit us at Kankakee County Cachers and Campers

We are reserved under the name "Kankakee Geocachers", if you are wanting to call the library in advance.

Running Attendee Tally (as the logs come in)= Remember, Only 25 Capacity.

Update:1x-x-10: Will Attend = x
