Being a collector of over 500 radio episodes and 100 TV and old movies of Sherlock Holmes, I decided I must have a cache in his honor. I put a CD of an old radio program in the cache. So here is a short story:
Dr. Watson, speaking to Sherlock Holmes: “The robber told me where he hid the loot before he died.” “Good” said Holmes, “Tell me and I’ll pick it up on my way to Scotland Yard.” “I wrote it down on note pad I have somewhere,” said Watson as he fruitlessly searched through his pockets. “I seem to have misplaced it. But I remember part of what he said. It was precisely 20 feet from the asphalt path of the Western Chehalis Trail.” “And” he continued, “the Latitude is N46* 58.407.” “That’s all I can remember.” Watson said softly.
“That’s all right Watson,” Holmes said cheerfully. “Applying deductive reasoning I have all the information I need.” Watson asked “How do…” Holmes interrupted “It’s elementary my dear Watson, elementary.”
